Kent-Ales is pleased to have helped Kent's newest micro-pub, the Past and Present at 2 Skinner Street, Gillingham ME7 1HD. They are now open, serving 3 cask ales as well as 3 real ciders, wines, and hot and soft drinks. Opening hours are 12-9pm Monday to Saturday, 12-4pm Sunday, closed on Wednesdays. Why not pop along and try some great beer and see what the concept of a micropub is all about! For more info search for PAST AND PRESENT on Facebook.
This weekend of the 16 and 17 August, we will be at Yalding and Rochester Farmers' Markets, details are on the left of this page.
Due to Westerham Brewery's appalling level of customer service, Kent-Ales will no longer be selling their bottled beers. It is disappointing although not surprising that larger breweries display such disregard for their small clients.
On a lighter note, we are continuing to collect new beers from existing as well as new breweries that include the Pig and Porter Brewery from Tunbridge Wells and the well-respected Meantime Brewery in Greenwich.
Please bear with us and they will all be updated on the web-site shortly.
We have recently been invited to sell our wares at a Farmers' Market and Family Fun Day at the White Horse pub in Sandway near Maidstone to take place on Sunday 31 August between 12 noon and 4pm. This will be take-homes only but we hope to see you there. Their website is www.whitehorse-sandway.co.uk
In September we will be organising our first big cask ale festival. We have it arranged at Quex Park, Birchington as part of the 'Gears of Change & Cogs of War' event which takes place on the weekend of Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th in September. For full details of the event please go to www.quexpark.co.uk/events/gears-of-change Full details of the beer range will be updated soon.
